Causes of a crisis
Any change in life, whether unexpected or planned, can cause an emotional crisis. Possible triggers:
- moving out of the family home
- sudden termination of work
- diagnosis “Cancer” or “Myocardial infarction”
- death of a loved one – human or animal
- Accident or victim of a crime
In case of shock and trauma, help should be sought as soon as possible.
Immediate help in case of an emergency
No one needs to go through crises alone!
Therapy sessions at a high-frequent time interval are intended to give you structure and a better stability to overcome the crisis.
To treat acute cases, 10 to 12 sessions are necessary and helpful. The first 7 appointments take place within 7 to 10 days. After that, the time interval between sessions will be slowly increased.
Subsequent therapy to a crisis intervention with weekly sessions, at least for a few months.
